Ok, let’s face it. When we speak to folks about healthy eating, they immediately think of starving themselves silly to lose weight. Well, if that’s the reason you clicked on our website, please at this point continue browsing. Nothing could be further from the truth! We want you to change your eating habits to become healthier, not to lose weight.  That’s the easy part; changing your mind-set.  Well, that’s another story.

Our Story

I started this journey about a year ago. I was 247 lbs. with a super high blood pressure reading, was a pre-diabetic with readings in the high 160 -170’s.  I was totally out of control when it came to my health.  In seven-months I totally reversed my Type 2 Diabetes.  When we started our journey, my A1C was at 7.3, but is now at 5.7.  My blood pressure is now consistently at 120/80, and my weight is now 209lbs.  I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Within this blog we have created several opportunities for you to get your health under control.  My wife and life’s partner has been the most vital part of all of this, next to the good Lord.  The recipes that she introduces in our Blog will no doubt be the start of a new you.  You will not regret it!  So, thank you for giving us the opportunity to help you with your Wholesome Keto Lifestyle. Sincerely, Lee

Lee was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic (Type 2), hypertensive, and with high cholesterol.  He was prescribed so many different medications by his doctor and finally decided that enough was enough!  I, too, was diagnosed with high cholesterol.  We finally realized and decided that we needed to make some drastic, but fairly simple changes in our lives as soon as possible if we intended to enjoy our remaining years in relatively good health.  So, we took the leap and made the necessary changes over eight months ago, and we have no intentions of ever going back to the way we were….overweight, constantly tired, irritable, and just overall frustrated with it all.   Lee has, in the last seven months, been able to drop two of his medications, and his AIC is now within the normal range.  He continues to be on the blood pressure medication, but hopes to soon be dropping that one as well, with his Doctor’s blessings.  My doctor, after reviewing my recent lab work, just gave me a good report, stating that I am more healthy now than I was two years ago.  Needless to say, it was such a blessing to hear those words coming from her.

Let’s Make Some Lifestyle Changes to Your “Way of Eating” (WOE)

Are you, too, concerned about your Lab Results and the reports from your doctor about your health?  Or are you weary of your doctor continuously prescribing new medications to your never ending list?  Are you ready to take control of and be accountable for your own health, and are you willing to make a lifestyle change to your current way of eating (woe)?

Changing one’s eating habits is about going on a journey to improve one’s health and well being. It’s about having someone accompany you on that journey so that you can encourage and inspire one another and also hold each other accountable. It’s about having the discipline to not give in to the temptation of eating those things that are not good for you, like fast foods and all kinds of store bought sweets made with questionable, potentially harmful, and artificial ingredients. It’s about the ability and the willingness to give up on foods that you may have been eating your whole entire life. If you’re a diabetic, have allergies, or have a gluten intolerance, doctors recommend avoiding foods that they feel exacerbate the problems.

If you are a beginner and don’t know a lot about what the Keto lifestyle is all about, read our articles on Keto, and on Intermittent Fasting to learn more about each key topic when considering this lifestyle change.
